The Department of Surgery implants a new biological aortic prosthesis

The interventional cardiology division implants two new stents

The Montreal Heart Institute is proud to announce that the interventional cardiology team has implanted new drug-eluting stents (DES) in two patients: one a Canadian first, the other a North American first. These medical devices, among the most effective in cardiology, help reduce the risk of complications and death in people with coronary artery disease.

BRAIN-AF Study Receives Canadian Institutes of Health Research Grant

The Montreal Heart Institute announces that the BRAIN-AF study has received a $1.4 million grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Seeking to better understand the effects of cardiovascular disease on the cognitive decline of the brain, the study will be able to recruit participants remotely thanks to this funding.
$281,205 raised for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases

The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, in collaboration with IGA, announces that the $2 Does the Heart Good fundraiser concluded with a total of $281,205 raised. This campaign was held as part of Heart Month, from February 4 to 24, in nearly 300 IGA supermarkets in Quebec and New Brunswick.

A donation from the heart by Canadian Pacific

The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation is proud to announce a donation of $50,000 from Canadian Pacific as part of its "CP Has Heart" campaign to acquire a DNA sequencer. This state-of-the-art device will, among other things, optimize the treatment of patients with COVID-19.
