Where do my donations go?
Your donations are used to support the four pillars of the Montreal Heart Institute: research, care, teaching and prevention. Every year, your support keeps hope alive for tens of thousands of patients and their families.
How long will it be before I receive my tax receipt?
For an online donation, you will receive a receipt by email within minutes of completing your donation.
For a one-time gift by cheque or credit card, please allow approximately three weeks for your receipt to arrive.
For monthly donations, you will receive your tax receipt once per year, in February.
For event participation, your receipt will be sent before the end of the calendar year.
Can my tax receipt be sent by email?
The Foundation produces digital tax receipts for online donations only. All other receipts will be sent by mail.
Is the amount of my donation confidential?
For donations in memoriam, the total amount of gifts received as well as donors’ names may be made public, unless you request that your donation remain confidential.
I can’t complete my online gift. What should I do?
I made a mistake in my donation (amount or name of foundation). Can I be refunded?

Can I have a tax receipt for a donation of less than $20?

How can I modify my banking information?
Can I receive a tax receipt under a name other than my own?
