The Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) is proud to announce that Marilène Dallaire, clinical nurse, and Hosham Ased, clinical perfusionist, are the recipients of the third edition of the Dr. Denis Roy Awards for Excellence in Cardiovascular Care.
Each year, this prestigious award honours MHI staff members who stand out in their work and improve their profession. Formerly intended for nurses, this year, the awards are open to a new category of recipients: healthcare professionals.
“Our healthcare teams are dedicated to the patients for whom they do exceptional work, and I have the privilege of witnessing this every day,” says Dr. Denis Roy, cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the MHI and instigator of the Dr. Denis Roy Awards of Excellence in Cardiovascular Care. “Through this award ceremony, I want to encourage, recognize, and reward the healthcare teams for their exceptional work, innovation, and contribution to improving the care offered to our patients. I feel fortunate because the Institute has a sense of belonging and a work atmosphere that I believe is exceptional, thanks in part to the dedication of our teams.”
