The 5th edition of HeartBeat took place on November 22. This benefit event, organized by the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Committee, raised $103,000 to help patients affected by cardiovascular disease. This unique networking event, which brought together 400 young professionals from a variety of fields, took place at 1909 Taverne moderne in Montreal and featured a silent auction, a DJ and networking activities. This years’ entertainement was special guest Kevin Bazinet who delivered a generous and vibrant musical performance.
A cause that is dear to a new generation of philanthropists
More and more young people want to get involved in the fight against cardiovascular diseases because they can affect people of all ages. The HeartBeat event is an opportunity for guests to network and raise awareness about a cause and a foundation that makes a major difference in the lives of tens of thousands of patients.
A team of engaged young leaders willing to make a difference
The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Committee includes about 20 young leaders who want to raise awareness in their community about cardiovascular diseases. The committee’s co-presidents are Marie-Claude Bergeron and Adriana Embiricos and its members are Christian Bavota, Andréanne Bergeron, Kim Bergeron, Marianne Bousquet-Racine, Janie Brunelle, Dr. Julia Cadrin-Tourigny, Ève Dubuc, Patrick Fouquette, Catherine Fournier, Félix Fournier, Justine Hamelin, Jean-Philippe Joyal, Jasmin Labrie, Marie-Laurence Migneault, Olivier Rénald, Sasha Rumbolt, Jonathan Thériault and Guillaume Twigg.
