Together, we can accelerate the pace

At the Montreal Heart Institute, we’ve chosen to act. To bridge the gap, our teams are combining basic, clinical, and preventive research with precision medicine. This interdisciplinary convergence aims to address shortcomings and develop fairer approaches that make medicine more equitable.

Our goal is clear: provide women with the care, prevention, and attention they deserve.

Labo 6

Basic research

Experts at the MHI study women’s heart health at every stage of development, from pregnancy to menopause.

Dr. Céline Fiset and Dr. Catherine Martel are researchers who aim to better understand the biological mechanisms that are unique to women.

Dr. Fiset focuses on how arrhythmias can impact the health of a pregnant woman and her unborn child while Dr. Martel explores the role of lymphatic veins in the development of atherosclerosis in menopausal women.

Support advances that redefine the medicine of the future.
