Edward Ajmo and the Montreal Heart Institute

Blush was founded in 1988 by Edward Ajmo and earned a reputation for honesty, respect, and dedication. The family-owned business — headed today by his children Tiffany and Justin Ajmo — has chosen to honour the memory of its founder by creating the limited-edition “eddie” sleepwear collection.

The relationship between the Ajmo family and the MHI is a long-standing one. For more than 45 years, teams at the MHI supported Mr. Ajmo in his patient journey with compassion, integrity, and professionalism until his death in December 2025. The family’s choice of supporting the MHI was an obvious one to perpetuate his values. It is also their way of expressing their immense gratitude to the teams who cared for Mr. Ajmo for more than four decades.

The Women's Health Prevention Initiative

Sales from the sleepwear collection designed to pay tribute to a big-hearted man will also help support women’s heart, a priority concern given that cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death among women globally. Part of the proceeds will go to funding the MHI’s Women's Health Prevention Initiative to provide care tailored to women's cardiovascular health. The Ajmo family knows first-hand the importance of prevention: their father received care at the MHI for many years. Supporting the Women's Health Prevention Initiative was a seamless choice that resonates perfectly with their clients.

This initiative, launched as part of the Women’s Heart Health Fund, offers targeted care during the transition to menopause, a pivotal stage that directly impact’s a woman’s inflammatory responses, blood lipid levels, and overall cardiovascular risk.

The program also provides multidisciplinary guidance thanks to teams of nurses, nutritionists, and kinesiologists. It also offers women psychosocial support. The goal is to have a positive impact on a woman’s lifestyle habits, mental health, and sleep. All to reduce the risk factors that could lead to heart disease.

Supporting the cause from the comfort of your PJs

The “eddie” sleepwear collection is a cozy line embodying both comfort and generosity. By purchasing items from this line, you’ll help propel innovation, prevention, research, and education at the Montreal Heart Institute.

We want to express our gratitude to Tiffany and Justin Ajmo, and to the entire team at Blush for helping to change the lives of our patients.
