# MHI Foundation (Montreal Heart Institute Foundation)

> The MHI Foundation (Fondation de l'Institut de Cardiologie de Montréal) is a Canadian charitable organization that has been funding the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) since 1977. Its mission is to collect funds and mobilize resources that enable the MHI to advance cardiovascular research, prevention, care, and education. The Foundation has donated more than $400 million to the MHI and is working toward reducing cardiovascular mortality by 30% by 2030. It operates in both English and French.
